A warm welcome is extended to everyone worshiping with us today by reading this posted liturgy. Whether you have a deep faith or are looking for an indefinable 'something' we hope that you enjoy a sense of God's presence and a feeling of connection with others through this site. May the joy you experience in worship be with you throughout the coming week.
WELCOME[1]
Ocean refers to the masses of waters that cover two thirds of Earth’s surface, along with the seven seas and the watery deeps where a myriad of species live, many of which are still undiscovered. The ocean is a world of mystery and beauty, of fascinating depths and spectacular life forms. The ocean is that vast domain many of our ancestors crossed to reach all parts of planet Earth. The waters of the oceans are the waters of life for our planet.
This Sunday, we acknowledge the vast oceans of Earth, created by the Wisdom of God. We join the Psalmists and call the sea to roar with songs of praise. We sing with the seven seas and celebrate the wondrous creatures of the watery deep. With our Creator, we rejoice with whales, dolphins and other ‘sea creatures.’ With the Spirit, we groan with animal species and humans that are suffering from our human acts of pollution.
LIGHTING THE CHRIST CANDLE
A TIME OF CENTERING
As you prepare for worship, please pause for a moment of silent contemplation. We encourage you to use this time to make the transition between “getting here” and “being present for worship”. Take a few moments to get in touch with the still deep places that provide you with a sense of calm; that quiet your spirit. Relax your body and ground yourself with a sense of inner peace, strength and love. Be aware of being with others and feel the spirit of community.
CALL TO WORSHIP[2]
From the beginning of time, and out of the depths, voices are calling us today;
God calls us to notice, to hear, and to respond.
The one who created the oceans and mountains,
the streams and the stars, invites us to worship in wonder and in praise.
Oceans and mountains, streams and stars themselves also call
to us – they call us to worship in the knowledge of our Creator,
and with the awareness of how Creation struggles today.
Come, in our worship, let us listen both to the Creator, and to Creation’s call;
let us open our minds, hearts, and spirits to the yearnings of Creation,
and recognize our own yearnings in these voices.
For we are one. In great wisdom we have been created in deep communion with each other.
Come. In our worship, let us hear the voice of God calling,
and the voice of creation seeking communion with us,
and let us worship in humble thanksgiving
for all of creation today.

COMMUNION - WE COME TO THE FEAST[4]
INVITATION TO THE TABLE
Welcome, friends and relations!
Today as begin a celebration of the Season of Creation we meet here in the house of the Creator at the great feasting table.
Jesus the Christ, taught us to empathize with our Mother, the Earth;
to make our spirits sensitive to the cries of creation, cries for justice from the land, the seas, and the skies.
to make our faith sensitive to the groans of the Spirit in creation, groans of longing for a new creation.
to make our hearts sensitive to the songs of our kin, songs of celebration from the sea, the forest, and the air.
Christ, continue to teach us to care.
The Creator be with you and with all creation.
And also with you
Open your hearts.
We open them to our Creator.
Let us give thanks and honour to our Creator.
It is right to give thanks and honour to God.
GREAT THANKSGIVING PRAYER
Creator and Giver of all life:
Your Word is the impulse for all things to be, for space, stars, and stardust to appear,
for Earth to emerge from the deep, for life to be born of Earth and
for humans to be born of Earth and the Spirit.
You chose to be born a human being, to become a part of Earth,
to suffer, die, and rise from death
to redeem humankind, renew creation, and affirm all born of Earth and the Spirit.
Your presence is the living impulse in all things, the Christ deep among us,
filling Earth—land, sea, and air; filling every element and place; filling the grain and the grape we share with you this day.
Therefore with angels and archangels, ancient voices in the forest,
high voices from the sky, deep voices from the sea,
and the whole company of creation, we proclaim your presence among us, saying together:
Holy, holy, holy are you, Giver of all goodness.
Creation’s heart overflows with joyous praise to you.
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is the One who is full of the Spirit.
Hosanna in the highest!
As we gather at this feasting table,
we remember that on the night before he died,
Jesus feasted with his friends.
He took bread, thanked you as we have thanked you,
broke the bread, and gave it to them, saying:
“Take, eat. This is my body, given for you.
Whenever you feast together, remember me.”
Then, he took a cup, and after giving thanks,
passed it to his friends, saying:
“Drink. This cup is the promise of God, made in my blood.
Whenever you drink together, remember me.”
Remembering your boundless love
shown to us in Jesus Christ,
we offer you our praise,
as we proclaim the great mystery of our faith
saying together:
Christ died, trusting in the Creator’s loving presence;
Christ was raised, the first fruits of resurrection;
Christ will come making no distinction, but welcoming
all into the kingdom overflowing with mercy and hope.
Holy Spirit, unite us at this feast and may it strengthen us
to live the resurrected and reconciled life of Christ in creation as we pray together the words he taught, saying….
LORD’S PRAYER
Through, with, and in Jesus,
united in love by the Holy Spirit,
we offer all glory to you, Creator, Source of Love,
now and always. Amen.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION
Christ’s body broken and healed for you.
The cup of rich blessing poured out for you.
INVITATION
Come, for all things are now ready.
Come to the table with all your kin and share with all in need--
the gift of healing for those of us in pain,
the gift of reconciliation for those of us estranged,
the gift of assurance for those of us in doubt,
and the gift of hope for those of us in tears.
May we who share these gifts,
share Christ with one another and with all our kin.
